Situated northeast of Beijing's Fifth Ring Road, southwest of the airport and the city's wealthiest villa developments, north of Wanjing and east of the Olympic Village, is the one of a kind Orient Golf Club. A joint effort by the architects Bill Young (Canada) and T. K. Pen (U.S.A.), Orient Golf Club's unique layout is the only links style course in Beijing. The front nine holes exhibit a classic tree lined hill course, while all back nine fairways are bordered by water. The clubhouse, designed by Harvard Graduate Architecture School and master architect Thomas Pen, has been featured in New York's Metropolis Magazine and draws visitors to the course for the quality of its design alone.
