Golden Valley Golf Club is a famous golf course located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, built in 1987. Designed by master designer Robert Trent Jones himself, this course is a hilly type of course with 18 holes, a par of 72 and a total length of 7,233 yards.
Golden Valley Golf Club is renowned for its stunning configuration and unique bunker design, which has been skilfully integrated into the natural landscape to provide a challenging playing experience. Sixteen of the course's 18 holes are interspersed by large and small streams, making the landscape scenery and degree of difficulty one of the best in the Kansai region.
Debuting at 70 on the Asia Top 100 list in 2020, the course jumped to an astonishing 36 on the Asia Top 100 in 2024, an extremely rare rise reflecting its place in the hearts and minds of golfers and the top-notch golfing experience the course offers.
In addition, Golden Valley Golf Club has hosted a number of major golf tournaments, including the Mitsubishi Knockout in 1990, the PGA Knockout in 1994, and the 82nd Nissin Cup for Japan's professional golfers in 2014.
