This course is really a bit of a city course, surrounded by buildings and full of artificial features given the site would have been completely flat. Think everything from fountains to waterfalls to man-made water hazards to large rocks that were trucked in to be stacked up and line the water hazards.
Most of the greens are raised and extremely undulated, a bit overdone in my opinion. As a whole it wouldn’t be a design I’m really fond of or would go out of my way to visit. It was fun and we had a great group of guys to play. The tempo of the round was surprisingly quick for a 4 ball and there was no waiting at all. That was really nice.
It’s the kind of routing that is very difficult to remember when you are finished, there was not many holes that stick out or holes where you say to yourself, wow!
In the end I’d give it a solid 5 out of 10 I guess.
The rest of the facilities there were literally amazing, the clubhouse in Korean private club fashion was enormous, the restaurant and the service everywhere was as good as you can find. The traditional Jacuzzi after the round was also very luxurious indeed.
Given the experience is so unique I’d recommend it, though not really for the golf which as said is average but the complete experience at this type of high-end members club in Korea is very special.
