This is a hilly golf course, located on a hill that overlooks the Fuji River. The course does not have considerable distance, with the majority of holes offering gentle downhill or uphill shots. Yet, the greens are strategically surrounded by numerous mounds and bunkers, which obstruct the possibility of an easy conquest. Each hole is designed to require special attention to the landing spot of the first shot, in order to play with precision. The 9th hole is a long hole that shares the green with the 18th hole. The landing point of the first shot needs to dogleg to the left. The fairway is flat, starting from the straight middle, but the consecutive long holes, the 12th and 13th, designed with an S-shape and a gentle right dogleg, can easily lead to a loss of score here. Ponds come into play at the 17th and 18th holes.
