Inaugurated in 1913, Golf Saint-Cloud is a private club with two 18-hole courses located in the towns of Garches, Rueil-Malmaison and Vaucresson near Paris. It is also the closest golf course to the center of Paris, where you can enjoy a great view of the Eiffel Tower. In addition to its long history and tradition as a golf club, the Saint-Cloud Golf Course has also hosted many international tournaments such as the French Open and the 1924 Olympic Games. Designed by Harry Shapland Colt, the first true golf course architect, the course has hosted the French Open 14 times. It is also the historic course for the Esmond Cup, the junior division of the French Open. The course is so rich in history that former French President François Mitterrand insisted on playing here every Monday with his friends and escorts.
