Kukuiolono Park & Golf Course

Once the site of an ancient Hawaiian temple, Kukui Lono Park features wide walking trails and gardens with spectacular mountain and ocean views. The challenging 9-hole golf course is popular with locals for its beauty and the cheapest green fees on the island.

From the Japanese Gardens, a paved path leads to the bluffs, where unrivalled views of Kauai's south and west coasts can be enjoyed. In the right season, whales can even be seen here. From the lower car park, hikers can stroll along wooded trails that wind through ironwood and eucalyptus forests. As the wind blows through the ironwood forest, the paths seem especially peaceful. Garden trails lead to a unique and rich collection of Hawaiian lava artifacts and a newly constructed meditation pavilion.
