Al Hamra Golf Club

The fairways at Al Hamra Golf Club surround four interconnected lagoons that blend seamlessly with the waters of the Arabian Gulf. As with many traditional courses, the front nine is 3,578 yards away from the clubhouse and the back nine is 3,747 yards around the lagoons back to the clubhouse. The result is a stunning par-72 championship golf course measuring 7,400 yards with a choice of five different tees on each hole. It is said that 5 million cubic metres of sand were moved here during the construction of the course. Water hazards come into play on several holes; most notably on both sides of the fairway of the 576-yard 3rd hole and on the daunting par-5 18th hole, where water threatens the right side of the hole from the tee to the three-tiered main green. Thanks to the installation of floodlights, it is also possible to play nine holes of the complex at Al Hamra after dark.

The course is ideally suited to golfers of all levels, providing an enjoyable and fun experiential golfing challenge for the budding novice or the most accomplished golfer.
