Hilly Course. Although the course is located in a mountainous area, all holes are amazingly flat. The course is beautifully laid out with ponds and ditches all over the course, and the layout is aesthetically pleasing and highly strategic. The most classic hole is the par-4 No. 7 of the Blue Staircase, which is a famous hole. A wide creek cuts diagonally across the fairway. The safe route is the fairway on the left, but there is still a long distance to the green. The right fairway is easier to attack the green, and aiming for it requires accurate directionality and a 200-yard flight. The clubhouse is strategically placed with huge ponds flanking the two par-5 9th holes on the blue and red courses.
