Aso Iizuka Golf Club, located in Katsurakawa-cho, Kaho-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a prestigious golf course with over 40 years of history and tradition. A hilly course. It was officially opened on 30 October 1973, designed by famous golf course architect Yoshinori Fujii. The club is known for its 27-hole size, flat hilly terrain, wide fairways, and challenging layout.
The club features three different golf courses: the Blue Course, the Green Course, and the White Course, each with its own unique characteristics and difficulty. For example, the Blue Course features holes over the pool, the Green Course is known for its varied terrain and scenery, and the White Course, which is the highest elevated course at the club, is strategic, with the wind direction having a significant impact on play.
There are gentle undulations and the fairways are wide and long and difficult. The blue course has wide fairways for bold swings. The white course is generally flat with many straight holes and long distances. The green course is more undulating than the blue course and also has complex holes. There are more dogleg holes with ponds and woods around the corners.
