Sueno Golf Club - Pines

Bob Hunt designed both courses at the Sueno Golf Club, the Pine Course naturally features an abundance of pine trees but there are also strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to enhance the challenge of the course.

The opening hole is a par 5, aptly named The Big Easy because of its wide fairways that allow golfers to swing for the fences. The short par 4 2nd hole is the first water hole, named ‘Up and Over’, and requires golfers to choose their shots carefully off the tee to get as close to the lake as possible and attack the contoured green in the shortest possible distance.

The 3rd hole, ‘Little Gem’, is a short but beautiful par 3 requiring an accurate tee shot over the lake and onto a peninsular green. Don't hit too far left as the lake on the left side of the green will happily swallow your little white ball. The short par four 12th has shades of Pine Valley, nestled in an old-growth pine forest with abandoned bunkers to the right of the fairway. The 13th hole, Rugged Valley, is a beautiful long par 3 that cuts through the valley and attacks a tricky tabletop green surrounded by pine trees.

The main hole is a clever medium-length par 4 that gives the illusion of a visual from the tee. Known as ‘The Mirage,’ the hole appears to be very narrow, with two bunkers on the right side of the fairway that cut into the elbow and a lake behind them, and is actually more spacious than the golfer might think.
