Course Introduction
The club is situated in the centre of the Mornington Peninsula, an arch of land that begins in Melbourne and stretches all the way to the windy Cape Skunk in the south-east, and north and west to Pottersea. The land between Frankston and Pottersea is rich in golf courses, somewhat similar to the north-east of Scotland where every town seems to have its own golf course. It would take most of a month to play all the golf courses. Hidden behind the courses are the various wineries of the Mornington Peninsula, ideal for growing cool climate grapes.
The South Course is longer, flatter and more open than the North Course, with breathtaking views of the fairways, featuring streams and dry stone walls. The bunker and green design focuses on positioning off the tee. This is a true test of golf strategy.
