Dalian Red Flag Valley Golf Club is a pure membership 36-hole golf club built by Dalian Haichang Group together with IMG Group, an internationally renowned sports and entertainment management group. The club not only has a standard 36-hole scale course, but is also the only comprehensive golf tourism and holiday project in Northeast China that integrates luxury boutique hotels, golf mansions and golf flats. The course is divided into Dragon Valley 18 holes (Upper Valley) and Unicorn Valley 18 holes (Lower Valley) with a total of 36 holes. The Unicorn Valley includes a 9-hole lighted course. The design of the course was customised for Red Flag Valley by the chief designer of IMG Group, a leading player in the golf industry, with designers Brit Stenson and Steve Shepherdson in charge of the creation. Located in the core area of the Xijiao National Forest Park, with a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery to match the terrain and geomorphology, and a large amount of rare native vegetation, the whole course is perfectly integrated into nature, and also achieves the largest mountain club in China.
Compared with the Unicorn, the terrain difference of Dragon Valley is not so big, but due to the main fairways are built on the ridge, parallel to the valley, the scenery is better, many people think it is a must-play 18 holes in Red Flag Valley. 1 holes downhill, the fairway is very wide, aiming at the direction of the left bunker is, 250 yards is absolutely safe. As long as there is no Slice, the opening shot is very likely to keep par. 6 hole is the shortest par 4 in Dragon Valley, the Blue Tee length is only 346 yards, but it is never easy. The tee shot goes downhill and the steep valley makes the descent feel even sharper. The fairway area in front of the drop is wide, but the fairway drops sharply to the green after a right turn over the turn area, and a 1-wood isn't the best choice for a tee shot on this hole, unless you like the downhill lie on the 2nd shot. A shot to the green is still downhill, and club selection should be at least one size smaller. To make par, you must also avoid the small bunker in front of the green.
