The Yabuli National Convention and Exhibition Center Ski Resort is located in the Buli Ski Resort. The Yabuli Ski Resort is 23 kilometers southwest of Yabuli Town, Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province, 198 kilometers away from Harbin City, 120 kilometers away from Mudanjiang City, and is located at the foot of Zhangguangcailing, the remaining vein of the Changbai Mountains. At the foot of Guokui Mountain, the geographic coordinates of its center are N44.60 and E128.50, covering an area of 66 hectares.
The skiing grounds are located in a moderately temperate zone with a humid monsoon climate. The temperature in Yabuli during the day is around -16℃. The snow quality is granular snow, and the deepest snow can reach more than 1 meter. The annual snow cover period is 150 days, and skiing is possible from the beginning of November to the end of April of the following year.
Yabuli Ski Resort is affiliated to the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau and is currently the largest comprehensive ski resort in my country that receives ski tourism and ski athletes training competitions. The winter training base of the National Polar Science Research Office is also located here. Since the establishment of the base in 1984, it has received 27 groups of people who have gone to Antarctica for scientific research for winter training.
Since the establishment of the Yabuli Ski Resort, it has successively hosted the 5th, 7th and 10th National Winter Games, the 4th Asian Junior Alpine Ski Championships, and the 3rd Asian Winter Games and other large-scale domestic and international ski competitions.
