After the rainy season (June to October), Thailand enters the dry season. November to December is the best time for golfing as temperatures are lower.


Today, we introduce the golf course BURAPHA GOLF & RESORT located in the region of Chonburi Province, Thailand. The course opened in 1995 and is approximately a 1 hour 15-30 minutes drive from Bangkok. BURAPHA GOLF & RESORT was designed by David Graham and Gary Panks.


Golf Course Features


The expansive course features 36 holes and is a mature championship course with rolling hills and a well-designed layout. It offers a sufficient length and rare downhill and uphill holes in Thailand, making it ideal for practice before playing golf in Japan. Despite being far from Bangkok, the fees are reasonable, and the course environment is comfortable.


On-Course Experience



The course conditions are quite good. While golf carts are allowed on the fairways, the course is well-maintained. Caddies are helpful, and the grass is well-treated. 



 The well-maintained grass makes it easy to play.



The course has significant elevation changes, requiring precise shot control. With many ponds, bunkers, undulations, and OB areas, it poses a significant challenge.

The course comprises four courses: A (American wood), B (British links), C (Cristal spring), and D (Dunes), each consisting of 9 holes, making it a complete championship course with 36 holes. Each course is undulating and challenging, offering enjoyment every time you play golf. The distances are short, ranging from 3,000 to 3,100 yards.


Clubhouse


The clubhouse facilities are well-maintained and beautiful.


Locker Rooms


The locker rooms are relatively clean and luxurious. It is one of the most popular golf courses in Chonburi and Sriracha.


Restaurant


The restaurant offers Thai-style dishes, and the food quality is good.


Practice Area


Practice is the key to improving your golf skills before playing. There is a grass practice area available, which I recommend using before playing. There is also a large chipping and putting area for thorough warm-up.
